Resolve 2 door issues in Sompting - May 14th 2022

Solution - the customer showed us the 2 issues via WhatsApp. Lockforce resolved the lock issue on the side gate quickly by aligning the keep correctly. The side door to the kitchen had an issue also. The door was catching on the top of the frame keep. We adjusted the Anglian upvc top hinge and drew the door inwards. This solved this issue and the door now closed & locked smoothly.

Lady locked out in Salvington - May 8th 2022

Communal door not opening in Goring - May 4th 2022

Solution - Lockforce locksmiths Worthing fortunately had a rear door they could access first. We then opened the main communal door via the thumbturn lock. The strike release was not disengaging when the entry code was entered. We removed the mortise latch and noticed rust was evident. We ordered a new strike release and installed the part the following day.

Keys lost to car roof top box in Angmering - 20th April 2022

uPVC window would not open in Angmering, 17th April 2022

Solution- Lockforce Locksmiths in Worthing the home attended and removed the window handle. The spindle on the handle had become disengaged from the gearbox because the spindle had been cut too small. The window could now open, but was still stiff. Lock changes for new homeowner - 20th March 2022

Solution - Lockforce attended their new home. We changed the 2 locks on their front door. This was a terraced house, so they were happy to keep the lock on their rear door. We changed the Yale night latch and then changed and installed an upgraded deadlock (Chubb) to a British Standard BS3621 lock for extra security.

Supermarket lock faulty in Ferring - 7th March 2022

Solution - Lockforce Locksmiths Worthing attended the commercial building. The screw-in cylinder lock on the foyer door had broken. We installed a keyed alike pair of locks and cut multiple keys for the staff.

Fire door not compliant in Goring - 2nd March 2022

Solution - Lockforce Locksmiths Portsmouth attended the house of multiple occupancy (HMO). The bedroom door required attention. Firstly, the lock was not compliant, so we changed the euro cylinder lock to a lock with a Thumbturn on the internal side to enable a keyless exit. We also installed an overhead door closer enabling the door to stay closed at all times.

Upvc porch door would not close in Goring - 27th February 2022

Solution - Lockforce attended the home and could clearly see the door was warped. The door was quite old. The handles were floppy, the hinges were corroded and the mechanism was rusting. We explained to the customer that we could do a temporary job but ultimately a new door would be best. We installed new handles, serviced the mechanisms and then realigned the keeps on the door frame. The door now closed and locked, keeping the customer safe

Solution - Lockforce arranged to attend the house just after the owners had received their keys. We changed locks on the front and rear upvc doors. We then gave multiple options for improved internal security on the bedroom doors. We will be returning to install these in the near future.

Solution - As there were many communal doors and rooms in this large building, Lockforce Locksmiths suggested digital locks as the best solution. Customer could not gain access the their safe due to lost keys in Broadwater - 15th January 2022

Solution - There were many communal doors and rooms in this property, therefore Lockforce Locksmiths suggested digital locks as the best solution. Bedrooms in a student house required door closers in Durrington, BN13 - 04/01/22

Solution - Lockforce Locksmiths Worthing installed 5 overhead door closers to all bedrooms in a large multiple occupancy house. All door closers had the correct fire rating to comply with fire regulations. The doors now all self close making the property safer in the event of a fire.

We noticed a stone had got lodged in the hook keep and this caused the locking mechanism to get jammed up. After the stone was removed the doors were functioning perfectly.

Snapped key in side communal door - Arundel - 7th September 2021

Solution - Lockforce Locksmiths Worthing attended the small parade of shops that required access to this door. We removed the snapped mortise key. After further discussions regarding the fire access usage of this door, I recommended a more secure lock and with a keyless exit. Solution - Lockforce Locksmiths Worthing attended the home within an hour of the initial call. When the handles were lifted up, the hooks were not moving. Solution - The rear door was locked and the key would not turn in the lock. By using 2 airbags, we spread the door and frame apart. We could then see the rollers which were stuck. As the gearbox had a twin spindle operation, we removed the gearbox casing and the broken part. We then readjusted the internal mechanism and the gearbox was functioning correctly again. A full home security survey was undertaken and the recommendations were presented to the homeowner. They agreed to have all their locks upgraded on all 5 external doors as well as their garage lock changed and upgraded. Free home security survey in Littlehampton - 21st October 2019

Job - Customer called Lockforce to assess the standard of their locks.

Solution - Lockforce Locksmiths in Worthing have the customer a FREE safety survey. The front door had a basic nightlatch and a 2 lever lock which offered the home owner little security. All their locks on their 3 uPVC doors were snap locks. These locks are very weak and can be snapped, which means an intruder could gain access within 10 seconds! Lockforce Installed a new night latch and a BS3621 5 lever deadlock to the front door. All uPVC doors had their cylinder locks upgraded with anti-snap locks. uPVC Rear Door not locking in Broadwater - 14th October 2019

Job - Customer rang Lockforce and said they think they need a new lock.

Solution - Lockforce locksmiths in Worthing attended the property at an agreed time. Firstly, we opened the door and lifted the handle and turned the key in the lock. The door locked fine so we knew the lock was ok. However, with the door closed within the framework, the handle would not lift up fully. Therefore, the issue was the door was not aligned. The hinges and keeps were adjusted and the door now closed smoothly. With this customer being proactive, the expense was low. However, if they had left this issue for longer, they could have caused excessive wear and tear on the locking mechanisms and had a larger bill.
