We received a call from a customer looking for a locksmith in Cheadle. His patio door handles were just spinning, and not engaging the locking mechanism. He says he googled the problem and believed it to be the gearbox. He lived very close to another customer we were visiting today so we arranged to visit them afterwards, much to his delight. When we arrived at the property, we discovered the handles were actually spinning the wrong way! Using non destructive techniques, we opened the door to inspect further. They had an uncommon 25mm back set gearbox, but luckily we had one in our van. We installed it and adjusted the hinges appropriately. Dignity and compassion required - Stockport - 12 April 2019
On occasions Lockforce Locksmiths Stockport are asked to attend jobs that are not the run of the mill. My services were called upon in April following a fatal accident involving a house fire. I was asked to attend the scene after the Police had finished their investigation and change both the front and rear door locks due to a number of people having access. On jobs like this total dignity and compassion has to be observed. When I had finished replacing the locks I received a handshake and an expression of thanks from the Police Sargent who stated that he wished all locksmiths had the same dedication towards their jobs.
When a customer is totally satisfied with the service you have provided they sometimes give you a tip, however on Monday I installed a mortice lock in a customer's property and as a tip he allowed me to sit in and start up the engine of his Lamborghini. Now that is a tip, it's times like this that I love my job!!
