Lockforce Locksmith Ashton Under Lyne was near St Damiens High school and Broad oak Road when a homeowner contacted us as she couldn't open her back door to let her dogs out. We were close bye so was at the property within 30 minutes and after checking the Ashton home identified a faulty gearbox and door alignment issue. Lockforce Locksmith Ashton were called to Stalybridge after a customer was really struggling to get into his flat and advised the Rim cylinder lock was so stiff. On arrival I inspected it and it appears the door has shrunk in the heat causing the lock to be too long. It was removed from the door and adjusted. New Handles And Window Repaired In Dukinfield, SK16, 20th May 2024
Lockforce Locksmith Ashton were called to a home in Dukinfield for some much needed door and window repairs. The Dukinfield resident advised that the front door handle was very loose and the bathroom window wouldn't open. The door handle was very loose on the outside due to wear and tear and also because the door was hitting the frame at the top causing the door having to be forced open and closed. New handles were supplied and fitted to the upvc door and the hinges were also adjusted to make locking smoother. The window on the Dukinfield home had broken so after the window was open a new mechanism was fitted and keeps adjusted to make it smooth to lock and open again. Change Of Lock to a Bedroom Door For HMO, Stalybridge, SK15, 4th May 2024
Lockforce Locksmith Ashton were asked to fit a new Anti snap thumb turn lock to an HMO in Stalybridge as the old tenant was leaving and a new one was moving into the room and the staff wanted the new resident to feel secure. A new lock was fitted and the keep in the frame was also adjusted to make the door more smooth to lock and more secure as it was rattling in the frame.
Broken Gearbox and Jammed Door with floppy Handle, Dukinfield, SK16, 3rd May 2024
Lockforce Locksmith Ashton attended a home in Dukinfield when they needed an emergency Locksmith to open the front door after the Dukinfield homeowner tried to leave and the door handle went loose and floppy and the door wouldn't open. I then asked the customer if the door was difficult to lock before it broke and the Dukinfield customer advised they was holding the handle up to lock the door and also had to grind it a little.
