New Night Latch Fitted - The Quays, M50 – 17/01/2022

Lockforce Locksmiths Salford attended a home in Salford Quays as customer had a Euro Mortise Sash lock fitted to his apartment door but wanted a night latch fitting to. I explained that he would need to use x2 keys at the same time to open the door which would be a pain and I then advised if he wanted to improve his security the best option would be to fit another Euro mortise Deadbolt further up the door with another Thumb turn cylinder fitted. Lockforce Lockmiths Salford then showed the customer some pictures so he could visualize what was meant and he was happy to go ahead. The lock was fitted and the new Euro Thumb turn cylinder was an anti-snap. The bottom Thumb turn was also changed so it was keyed alike with the top lock meaning 1 key opens both locks.

New Front Door Lock Replacement - The Quays, M50 – 09/01/2022

On arrival I checked the mechanism which seemed to work fine, the hooks were retracting and extending and there were no issues with the cylinder. Eventually I identified that the hinge had dropped making the hooks sit inside the keeps too deep. The door was then realigned and the door worked well again.
