Lock Failure on Kitchen Door – Slip End, Luton, LU1 – 19/11/2020

Today we were contacted by a customer via our website after their kitchen door would not lock. We made contact with the customer the same day and agreed to meet at the house that afternoon. Once on site we found that the door was an aluminium door with a multipoint lock. The lock had seized and the hooks would not engage within the frame. An overnight lock was fitted whilst the new multipoint lock was ordered, so the customer could lock the door. Our technician was back the following day with the new parts and had the door working as it should within 30 minutes of his arrival. The home owner was very impressed and grateful for our quick and professional Luton Locksmith service.

Lock Change After changing Tenants – Lower Woodside, Luton, LU1 – 14/11/2020

This morning we received a call from a landlord who had new tenants moving into one of his properties. He requested we come out this afternoon and replace all the locks on the property. Our technician met the customer at the property at the agreed upon time. The previous tenant had changed the front door lock and not returned the keys. Non destructive entry was gained through the front door. There were 3 uPVC doors on the property that needed new locks to be fitted. The landlord decided to have all doors fitted with high security snap safe locks for added peace of mind. The customer was very happy with our quick and responsive Luton locksmith service.

Front door unable to open – Sundon, Luton, LU3 – 08/11/2020

We received a call this morning from a customer who needed urgent assistance with opening a front door that had become stuck. Her husband was disabled and had carers that visited him throughout the day who now had no access into the home. We had a technician onsite within the hour to assist. Once at the house we found that the door was a UPVC door and that the multipoint lock was not releasing. We were able to free the door and inspect the locking mechanism. It was the gearbox that had failed within the door. As we carry many spare parts, we were able to replace the gearbox in the same visit and had the door working as good as new. The customer was very happy with the quick and responsive locksmith service she had received.

Late Night Lock Out – Luton, LU2 – 20/10/2020

This evening we received a call from a customer who had arrived home and was unable to unlock their front door. We were able to attend and were at the property within the hour. The door had a night latch (Yale lock) which had failed and would not unlock. We were able to gain entry and had the family back inside the house in no time at all. A brand new night latch was fitted and new keys supplied in the same visit. The customer was very happy that we were able to get them back in and replace the faulty lock all in a single visit.

Early Morning Lock Out – Slip End, Luton, LU1 – 17/10/2020

Early this morning we received a call from a customer who had locked himself out of his home. We were able to attend and had our technician on site within 30 minutes. The customer had stepped out of his home to start his car and the door had closed behind him with the keys inside. We were able to gain entry through the door with no damage. The customer was very glad to have the door open so quickly as he was getting ready to leave for work when he locked himself out.

Smart Lock Installation – Lilley, Luton, LU2 – 12/10/2020

We received a call from a customer today that had purchased an Ultion smart lock online and needed us to come out and install it for them. We had a technician on site the same day. The smart lock was fitted and calibrated to the customer’s specifications. Faulty UPVC Window – Sundon, Luton, LU3 – 01/10/2020

This morning we received a call from a customer who was unable to lock their bathroom window. We attended to the call out and were onsite the same day. Our technician found that the espag (Locking mechanism ) had failed and was not operating as it should. A new espag was fitted as well as a new handle to ensure the window would work smoothly. The customer was very happy to be able to lock the window once again as it was a ground floor window.

Front Door Lock Failure – Chiltern Green, Luton, LU2 – 24/09/2020

A customer called us this evening after their front door lock had failed and they were unable to unlock it from the outside. Our technician was able to attend and was at the property in under an hour. The lock on the door was a night latch (Yale Lock). A new night latch was fitted and new keys supplied in a single visit. Bedroom Door Lock Failure – Wandon Green, Luton, LU2

We received a call this afternoon from a customer who required our services after a bedroom door lock had failed and the door could not be opened. The customer was a carer who worked for a elderly patient. They had gone out for a walk and when they returned could not get back into the room. We were able to attend and were on site within the hour. Our technician was able to open the door without any damage and replaced the faulty lock. Lost key for business Storage room – Pepperstock, Luton, LU1 – 08/09/2020

This morning we received a call from a business that had a storage room that was locked and the keys had been misplaced. We were able to attend to the call out request and had a technician on site within the hour. We were able to gain entry and a new mortice sash lock was fitted. New keys were issued ensuring that the door to the storage room could be secured and used once again. The business was very happy with the quick response and service they had received.

Front Door Lock Failure – Streatley, Luton, LU3 – 01/09/2020

A call out request was received this afternoon from a customer after their front door would not lock. We were able to attend and were at the property within an hour. After inspecting the door we found that there was a mortice deadlock fitted that had failed and would not lock. The customer requested we fit a new lock as she was going away the next morning and needed to be able to secure the property. A new British standards 5 lever mortice deadlock was fitted and new keys issues. The customer was very happy with the service she had received from our Luton Locksmith service.

Patio Doors Unable to Open – Streatley, Luton, LU3 – 24/08/2020

We received an email today from a customer who requested we come out and have a look at her patio doors as she could not unlock and open them. Our technician was able to attend to the property and found that the multipoint lock on the door had failed. The lock had failed due to the doors alignment being out and the handles being repeatedly forced up to lock the door for a couple of weeks. As we carry a wide range of replacement parts on hand we were able to replace the damaged gearbox on the multipoint lock in the same visit. The doors were then realigned to ensure the same problem did not happen again or cause more damage to the doors and the locks fitted to them. The customer was so happy to have working patio doors again.

Faulty UPVC Door Lock – Caddington, Luton, LU1 – 16/08/2020

We received a call this morning from a customer who was having issues with her front door. Once on site and after speaking with the customer she explained that the door was very hard to lock and sometimes would not lock at all. After a quick inspection we found that the alignment was out and this was causing the issues. The door was realigned and this allowed the door to lock smoothly again. The customer also requested we put in a new lock as the old one was very worn and the key was not operating smoothly from the outside. A new anti snap high security spec lock was fitted. She was extremely happy to have a smooth working and safer lock fitted to her door.

Snapped key stuck in Lock – New Mill End, Luton, LU2 – 13/08/2020

An emergency call out request was received this afternoon after a customer had snapped their key in the lock whilst trying to unlock their front door. Our technician attended to the call out immediately. Once on site we found that the lock was a night latch (Yale lock) and that the snapped key was the only key the home owner had for that lock. We were able to drill the lock out and gain entry into the property. A new rim cylinder was fitted to the door and 3 keys supplied. The customer was so happy to be back in their home and have spare keys for their front door.

Night Latch failure on front door – Lilley, Luton, LU2 – 09/08/2020

Lockforce Locksmiths Luton received a call today from a customer who could not unlock their front door. We were able to attend to the property in under 40 minutes and assess the door and lock. Our locksmith found the lock on the door was a night latch (Yale lock) that had seized and would not open from either side of the door. The lock was removed and a new polished brass, modern style night latch was fitted. Due to the large variety of parts carried on hand we were able to offer the customer a choice on the replacement lock and have it fitted in a single visit from the call out phone call. The customer was extremely happy to be able to use the front door again instead of having to walk through the back garden to leave the house.

Composite Front Door Unable to Lock – Caddington, Luton, LU1 – 04/08/2020

A call came in this evening from a concerned customer who was unable to lock their front door and requested we come out. We were able to attend to the emergency call out. Once our technician was on site an inspection was carried out on the door and we found that the internal gearbox, which operates the multipoint lock, had failed. This was not allowing any of the locking points to operate. As Lockforce Locksmiths Luton carries a wide range of spares, the gearbox was replaced in the same visit. The door is now working and locking as it should. The customer was extremely happy to be able to lock the door before he and his family would go to bed.
