Saving Old Windows in Rudheath CW9 - 29th March 2024

A lovely young couple asked Lockforce Northwic to see if we could help with some windows on their newly acquired property that weren’t working. Although they were fitted in 1991 they were by no means a write off. Lockforce replaced 3 broken mechanisms and sone handles to get the windows working again saving our customer a lot of money in the process.

Locks upgraded to meet insurance requirements in Alpraham, CW6 - 30th August 2023

Lockforce Northwich were asked to advise the owner of a very old farmhouse if his current security complied with the requirements of his insurer. Our free security survey discovered a few gaps that needed attention. The result was some additional window locks fitted and the main door getting a British Standard Insurance Approved 5 lever mortice lock to bring everything up to date and compliant.

Composite Front Door not locking in Northwich, CW9 - 6th July 2023

Lockforce Northwich were recommended by a family member who we had helped previously when the multi point locking mechanism failed on a composite door. Fortunately Lockforce had the complete mechanism on the van and were able to replace it on the spot in order to make the house secure once more.

Failed French Doors in Tarporley, CW6 - 19th June 2023

Lockforce Northwich were even busier than usual with the warm weather playing havoc with doors and windows. This call from a Tarporley customer was no exception. Their French Doors had dropped over time and wouldn’t open. Lockforce soon had the doors open and lined up correctly so the fresh air could flow in once more.

Vacant property unlocked in Northwich, CW8 - 2nd May 2023

The developers of a long vacant house contacted Lockforce Northwich when they discovered that the keys had gone missing. Although the door hadn’t been opened for several years Lockforce were soon inside. New locks were fitted and the keys handed over so work could commence on modernising the house.

Trapped in the bathroom in Cuddington, CW8 - 26th March 2023

Lockforce Northwich answered an emergency call from a mother whose daughter was trapped in the bathroom and separated from her phone. Once on site the door was opened quickly, and the teenager reunited with her phone!

Lock change in Davenham, CW9 - 8th March 2023

Lockforce Northwich were the first port of call when a client needed her locks changing as a matter of urgency. We soon had the doors secure again with snapsafe locks and as part of the service we offer the doors were checked and the alignment adjusted to get them working smoothly.

Dining Hall door fixed in Duddon, CW6 - 22nd February 2023

A local primary school called in Lockforce when the handle snapped off on the dining hall door. The unit was replaced quickly and the children no longer had to take a detour to get back to classes.

New life for old doors in Winsford, CW7 - 3rd February 2023

A Winsford homeowner contacted Lockforce when it became clear that he wouldn’t be able to repair his patio doors himself. Lockforce diagnosed the problem and discovered that the parts required were no longer in production. A suitable alternative Multi Point Locking mechanism was installed along with new handles and a snapsafe lock cylinder giving the doors security and a freshen up.

Emergency call to elderly couple in Northwich, CW8 - 3rd February 2023

The family of an elderly couple called Lockforce Northwich when they had got themselves locked out and were taking shelter in their greenhouse. Lockforce attended straight away and got the door open quickly and the couple back into the warm house. After chatting with them and the family it was decided that the door handles would be converted there and then to stop the issue occurring again. 

Conservatory Doors saved in Winsford, CW7 - 30th January 2023

Lockforce were called to have a look at some conservatory doors on a rental property in Winsford because they wouldn’t lock. The landlord was fully expecting to have to buy new doors, but Lockforce replaced the Multi Point Locking mechanism and aligned the doors properly to get them working smoothly for a few more years yet leaving the client very happy indeed!

Lost keys in Kelsall, CW6 - 12th January 2023

When a previous customer lost the keys for two doors, they didn’t hesitate to give Lockforce Northwich a call. The beautiful hardwood doors were opened non-destructively, and the locks were replaced with new keys.

New Year lockout in Barnton, CW8 - 30th December 2022

An urgent call for Lockforce Northwich as a homeowner was preparing to leave for a New Year break they managed to lock themselves out of their house. Lockforce were on the scene within 30 minutes and the door was soon open and the keys retrieved for a very relieved client.

Back door trouble in Northwich, CW9 - 20th November 2022

Lockforce Northwich came to the aid of a lovely lady who was unable to lock her back door. This type of issue is often caused by alignment problems and if ignored will lead to failure of the Multi Point Locking mechanism. Fortunately we were called in time and managed to adjust the door, service the mechanism and have it in full working order again some 23 years after it was first installed without the need for any new parts.

Broken lock cylinder in Winsford, CW7 - 18th November 2022

An early evening call to Lockforce saved the plans of a Winsford couple who were headed out for the night but couldn’t removed the key from their front door. The fault was quickly diagnosed and a new anti snap lock cylinder was fitted from the extensive stock carried on the Lockforce van.

Fixing a previous bodge job in Kelsall, CW6 - 10th November 2022

Lockforce were contacted by a couple who had recently bought a house and they had noticed that the French Doors wouldn’t lock properly because part of the lock mechanism had been removed by the previous owners. A complete new multi point locking mechanism with an anti snap lock cylinder and realignment of the doors got them back in tip top condition. While on site we were asked to do a home security survey and this found that the front door lock needed upgrading to an Insurance and Police approved cylinder which was fitted there and then.

3 Star Locks fitted in Northwich, CW9 - 24th October 2022

Lockforce Northwich were asked to advise on upgrading the lock for a customer’s front door. After going through the options it was decided that an Ultion 3 Star Plus British Standard Insurance and Police approved lock would be best. The upgrade was completed there and then as Lockforce carry a vast amount of stock on the van.

Key Snapped in Showroom Door in Winsford, CW7 - 9th October 2022

Lockforce Northwich were called to the local Vauxhall dealership as the key had snapped off in the lock on the main showroom door. It was quickly replaced with a new anti snap lock cylinder and 5 new keys.

Car stolen with house keys inside in Kelsall, CW6 - 6th October 2022

On returning to where he’d parked his car while watching a football match a customer’s car was stolen with the house keys still inside. As a sensible precaution Lockforce were asked to change all the locks on the external doors and supply new keys.

New locks and handles in Helsby, WA6 - 19th September 2022

A customer asked if Lockforce could upgrade his locks and replace the tired looking handles on the front and back doors. Although the locking mechanism on the door was an unusual Spanish made system, Lockforce managed to track down some new handles and upgraded the locks to Police and Insurance approved 3 Star cylinders.

French Doors well and truly shut in Cuddington, CW8 - 1st September 2022

A local vet needed Lockforce Northwich to diagnose her doors. Once I had them back open it turned out that they had succumbed to the passage of time and the recent warm weather. With a new Multi Point Locking strip ordered and fitted the next day, the doors were given a new lease of life and the conservatory might be a bit cooler too!

Lockforce Northwich were asked to sort out the side door on a lovely old cottage. The door hadn’t been used for a while as the Multi Point Locking mechanism had failed but it was soon open and working perfectly as the required parts were in stock on the Lockvan.

Lockforce Northwich were called a client’s home in Northwich after being recommended by a neighbour who had used our services before. The front door was fixed quickly using stock from the vast array carried on the van and the customer was able to lock up and pop to the shops.

Troublesome door in Northwich, CW9 - 1st August 2022

Lockforce Northwich were contacted through Checkatrade by a homeowner who had been having trouble closing the front door properly ever since it had been badly installed by a dodgy builder. Lockforce realigned the door in the frame and got it to operate as it should in no time at all leaving the customer delighted!

On inspection it was discovered that one of the hinges had snapped causing the issue. Saving 2 dogs trapped in a caravan in Whitegate, Winsford, CW8 - 23rd March 2022

Lockforce Locksmith Northwich took a call from a local resident in Whitgate after she had found her two pet dogs trapped in their static caravan. We carried out an emergency visit and was at the property in under 30minutes. After 5 minutes work we had the door open and the dogs were freed. No damage was made to the door and after some minor reallignment we were confident that the problem would not happen again.
