Lockforce locksmiths Bishops Stortford was booked in to change 3 locks on a customer’s home after they had their car stolen which had their house keys inside. After changing their locks we noticed 2 of their doors had faults. Rear sliding door would not lock after customer attempted to change lock themselves and damaged the mechanism. We replaced the mechanism and handles for the customer and now back to locking order. We also repaired their front door which seemed to not have been working for a very long time as they had temporarily repaired it themselves. We replaced the centre case and changed the handles that had seen better days.

Lockforce locksmiths Bishops Stortford was booked in by a local customer who was struggling to lock their rear door. We arrived to find the mechanism was falling apart and the handle was completely loose. We tried repairing the mechanism however once taken out the door a broken piece of the mech had fallen out and therefore a new mech had to be installed. The current handles that are faulty have been discontinued for a long time therefore we installed universal handles to accommodate the new mech. Customer extremely happy and left a fantastic review.

Lockforce locksmiths Bishops Stortford was booked in by a customer who had a smart lock on their front door that was temperamental. Not always unlocking when code has been inputted. Also the override system wasn’t working. At the customers house we immediately took the smart lock off the door and noticed part of it was not correctly aligned. After realigning it we looked at resolving the override key issue. Few minutes later all issues were resolved leaving customer with a fully functional smart lock.

Due to how it has been snapped in the keyway with excessive force, the lock had to be removed destructively in order for us to gain entry. Once we gained entry a new snap safe lock was installed. We removed old one and after some delicate chiselling we installed the new 5 lever lock.

We previously replaced the gearbox for the customer and recommended changing the handles due to them being loose and unrepairable. Customer called and arranged for us to change the handles. Lockforce locksmiths Bishops Stortford was called out to a home to get them back in their home after their smart lock ran out of battery. We noticed they had a side door which had a key on the internal. We gained entry and customer opted to upgrade their rear doors cylinder for an anti snap cylinder whilst we was on site.

Lockforce locksmiths Bishops Stortford was booked in by a customer as they had a problem with their multipoint lock. We instantly knew it was a gearbox fault and so customer was happy for it to be replaced there and then. We removed the faulty one and replaced it like for like. Customer also explained they had been locked out before leaving the keys on the inside of the lock. We gave several options to which the customer opted to change their lock for a thumbturn euro cylinder.

Lockforce locksmiths Bishops Stortford was booked in by a customer to install a Ultion Nuki smart lock. We arrived as scheduled and got to work straight away. We removed the old lock and handles and installed the new 3* ultion lock aswell as the new handles. Before leaving we helped customer calibrate the new smart lock, making sure all features work. Customer delighted to add another smart edition to their home to remotely control their front door lock.
Lock replacement and entry gain - CM23 - 17/01/2023
Lockforce locksmiths Bishops Stortford was called out by a repeat customer who had trouble opening their front door. As this was an emergency callout, we arrived within 25 minutes. The customer suffers from arthritis in the hand they struggled turning their key that little bit extra to unlock their door. We arrived within 30 minutes and gained entry immediately for the customer. After allowing the customer back in their warm home we greased the door mechanism and replaced the lock. After we completed the job, we made sure customer could enter their home many times without assistance.

Luckily for the customer we squeezed them in and arrived within 30 minutes as it was an emergency. On arrival we noticed the door multi point lock was out of alignment after customer had said they've had problems ever since the door company had installed it. We also noticed the keep for the latch also needed adjusting. After making those adjustments door was now able to lock and unlock. Customer then asked if we could see his rear door as it was drafty. A quick adjustment to the keep and the door was now air tight.
Key removal and cylinder change in Bishops Stortford, CM23 - 08/12/2022
Lockforce locksmiths Bishops Stortford was booked in to remove a customer’s key from front door and replace the euro cylinder. We removed the cylinder from the door and managed to remove the key however the euro cylinder was faulty due to excessive WD40. We replaced the lock for an anti-snap euro cylinder as an upgrade to what the customer originally had. Customer is also interested in installing a smart lock in the future for convenience purposes as they have a large family.

Customer had the key, but the key wouldn’t turn the lock. After a short time, we gained entry non-destructively. Spoke to the landlord afterwards and they have now booked us in to change the lock from a mortice lock to a euro profile lock.

On arrival customer was saying the locks were faulty and so wanted them both changed. Rather than replace the locks we inspected the door to see what reasons there could be for the customer wanting new locks. We noticed the slave door wasn't locked properly and therefore the bolt from the main door could not be thrown across fully to lock the door. We made sure the door was correctly positioned and the door was able to lock and unlock smoothly.
