Horsforth town street shop shutter broken 04/02/2022

Lockforce Horsforth tackled a shop shutter that would not open today, the  key broke in the electric key operated pad and the customer could not open his shop. Lockforce duly arrived swiftly to the sos emergency call and swiftly opened the shutter and cut a new key on site, job done

Bike Lock stuck in Horsforth 11/12/2020

A stressed lady called Lockforce Locksmiths Horsforth in a panic as her key would release the Bike lock on her bike, locked to the drain of Tesco’s supermarket on New Road Side, Horsforth. The Padlock was indeed seized and the key would not work. A quick squirt of Locksmiths oil and using our picks in the lock we were quickly  able to release the lock, the frozen chips were still frozen and lady could again use pedal power to get home swiftly with her groceries.

Shall I use WD40 in my lock?

Lockforce Locksmiths Horsforth received a call from a customer in Cookridge 25/4/19 when her key became getting stuck in the lock and was difficult to remove the key from the key way and wanted to know what oils to use as she had purchased some WD40. Lockforce Locksmiths Horsforth asked for a quick photo of the lock so we could identify the lock and advise what oils to use, in this case the lock was a Ultion lock and the correct oils to use is graphite oil Lution. It also worth knowing that some manufactures will not honour any warranty if incorrect oils are used.

Lockforce Locksmiths Horsforth will offer free video links support to all NHS key workers should you have a lock issue get in touch and if we can video link and identify the issue that is easily resolved by giving you free advise and some quick DIY we will do that. A NHS Nurse in Cookridge called us when her key got stuck in the lock, we advised on a video link by whats app and it quickly showed us it was a small issue that could be easily resolved by opening the door and resetting the lock.

Update Coronavirus (Covid-19) for Lockforce Locksmiths Horsforth

New Build houses in Horsforth

15/2/20 Spinning key Town Street Horsforth

Lockforce Locksmiths Horsforth attended to a problem with a customer reported the key was just spinning in the lock an not opening the door. Cause was a badly cut key Lockforce Locksmiths Horsforth picked open the lock to gain entry and the customer had a spare key the original key in the house which worked perfect. Please be careful getting keys cut that are poor quality and not cut correctly
